Biography
Edward finds assisting small business the most fulfilling part of his practice. As the child of former business owners, he understands their daily challenges and resulting legal needs. Edward has guided business owners from the day the entrepreneurial spirit formulates to the day they retire, including business organization and planning, corporate record maintenance, contract drafting and review, collections, liens, the sale and purchase of businesses, business succession planning, and even some employment matters. Edward has assisted business owners with all manner of legal issues that arise in the course of running their business.
Sometimes when a loved one passes, they leave a bit of a mess for their loved ones. Edward has experience handling and guiding estates, probate, probate avoidance, and trust administration, including complex estates with multiple properties and businesses. Edward also enjoys assisting the firm with its municipal clients and is the past chair of the Kane County Local Government Committee.
Edward earned both his Bachelor's and Law degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. While completing his undergraduate degree, he was awarded the John G. Peters Presidential Scholarship and graduated Summa Cum Laude. In law school, Edward served as an Assistant Clerk for Justice Hudson in the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District, and Judicial Extern for Judge Kapala in the Federal Court, Northern District of Illinois. Edward also served as a Lead Articles Editor of the Northern Illinois University Law Review and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
