Roman Seckel Moderates Ethics Seminar

Roman Seckel will be moderating the Kane County Bar Association (KCBA) seminar on Legal Ethics at the Eaglebrook Country Club on March 9, 2017. Topics include Cyber-Liability and Protecting Confidential Information in Your Firm, Legal Tech Security, and Ethical Obligations for Protection of Confidential Information and Storage of Client Information, a Look at the Rules of Professional Conduct.

The Kane County Bar Association has developed a premier continuing legal education program and is the first bar association in the State to offer free CLE to its members asan Accredited MCLE Provider and offers approximately 20  seminars a year. All of the continuing legal education (CLE) seminars are free to members, including  online CLE. Attorneys are mandated to obtain a minimum number of CLE hours by Supreme Court.

Upcoming seminars include the Civil Practice Seminar (March 15th), Estate, Probate & Elder Law Seminar (March 30th), Local Government Seminar (April 20th), Women in Law Seminar (April 27th), Immigration Seminar (May 3rd), Family Law Seminar (May 11th), Labor & Employment Seminar (May 24th), Elder Care, Disability & Mental Health Seminar (May 31st) and the ever popular 11th Hour Seminar (June 4th) for those attorneys who need to get their mandated CLE done before the June deadline.

The KCBA is the oldest local bar association in the State. The KCBA is a regional center of legal professionals who are united by common goals, enriched by education, administrative resources, professional support personnel and dedicated to excellence in the practice of law in the Kane County and Fox Valley area. The KCBA not provides support services to attorneys who are members; the KCBA provides services to the public, including the monthly Ask A Lawyer program, a place to post for jobs wanted, Lawyer in the Library, Lawyer in the Lobby, Lawyers in the Classroom, Legal Aid Resources, a Speakers Bureau and ongoing service to the needy in the community through, organized volunteer services to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, Lazarus House and other charitable endeavors.

Roman Seckel has moderated and presented at many seminars over the years, including ethics seminars, family law seminars, local governmental law seminars and others. He is a frequent speaker and moderator. Roman focuses his practice in a combination of family law, guardianship, adoption, landlord/tenant, collections, corporate and municipal law.
